It uses the same account and projects as the web app. New features update automatically when you open the app, so you never have to download it again.
MagicLumen for Mac
Works on Apple silicon and Intel. Requires macOS 12 or later.
Opening it on a Mac for the first time
We're still getting Apple's developer verification, so until then macOS will stop the app the first time you open it. Follow these steps once and it will open normally from then on.
- Open the downloaded file and drag MagicLumen into the Applications folder.
- Open MagicLumen from Applications. When macOS says it can't be opened, click "Done".
- Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, click "Open Anyway" next to MagicLumen, and enter your Mac's password.
- Click "Open" again and MagicLumen will start.
On macOS 14 or earlier, you can also right-click MagicLumen, choose "Open", then click "Open" again.
Check the file hasn't been tampered with
We only distribute the installer from magiclumen.ai, so please don't download it anywhere else. To confirm your download matches what we published, compare its SHA-256 checksum.
